Economic Support
Interciencia has received support from the Fondo Nacional de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación of Venezuela (until 2009), the Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología of Mexico (until 1982). It has also received contributions from the Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas of Argentina (2002-2007), from the Fondation Canadienne pour l’innovation through ACFAS (2004), from AAAS (2004) and from the SBPC. Along its uninterrupted existence the journal has also received important support from the Organization of American States (OAS), the United Nations Organization for Education, Culture and Science Organization (UNESCO) the Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), the Andrew Melon, Tinker y MacArthur Foundations (USA), Fundación Polar (Venezuela), the Canadian International Development Agency (ACDI) and the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB). Interciencia receives contributions from the institutions for whom the authors work or from their research funds, which are used to cover the journal production expenses.
